Spirits in Cornwall It all started when my family and I were going on holiday to Cornwall. We were staying in a friend’s holiday home and everyone shared a room, except from me who had my own. (Mum and Dad shared and my brothers shared.) It was about the 2nd night that we had stayed there and I was experiencing weird happenings. 1st of all the lampshade started to swing, except there wasn't any doors or windows open to bring in the cold wind. Secondly I started to feel and hear someone else breathing in the room. I just ducked under the covers and it seemed to go away. The next morning I only told my mother (because I knew my dad and brothers would just laugh at me and tell me I was a scaredy cat) about the thing that occurred last night. She said that I should just ignore it and try to get to sleep tonight, so I tried. But the same thing happened again but this time I just felt used to it. So in the morning I told my mother that it had happened again and she then said that the same experience happened to her. So all through the holiday my mum and I had to live through this supernatural thing, but we were so curious about it and a t the end of the holiday when we handed over the keys to the owner we told him what had happened and so he explained that it normally happens to people that rent it out, he didn't sound at all alarmed at this point- nor did I until he explained fully that the cottage had been built on an ancient graveyard!! |
