When I was 9 I lived in a flat in Farnborough England and used to ride with a few friends to a old abandoned WWII military hospital 1 mile away from my home it was not a huge hospital probably had 10 to 15 rooms we would crawl in throw gaps in the windows that where boarded up we used candles to search the rooms, what I remember most about the hospital was that it always had a freighting strange silent to it even though a main road was only a short distance away it made it very Erie we must of played in and around the hospital for maybe a month until the authorities cornered of the hospital grounds I did not know it at the time but it was soon going to be knocked down and new houses where going to be built on it.
Just over a year later my parents told me we where going to move house and the new house was just up the road to my surprise my new home was one built on the old hospital grounds for about a year of living there nothing out of the ordinary happened until one night about 10 pm I was up reading I always kept the bedroom door slightly a jar so I could see out into the hall way I looked up form my book to see a black hooded figure a monk if you like walk from the top of the stair way it stopped turned and looked at me and then seem to wander into one of the other two bed rooms I got up and looked in my brothers bedroom and saw nothing except my brother sleeping I looked into my parents room and still nothing my parents at the time where down stairs watching TV so I calmly not to concerned went down and told them what I had seen they said to go back to bed it was just my imagination I tried to convince them but they weren't buying it so I went back to bed at that time we had !
A spiral staircase so from the bottom you could not see the top as I walked up and around the corner to the top the black figure was standing directly in my way at the top of the staircase I just froze and stared at the figure when then it raised its hand and made a kind of peace gesture I then be came un calm and screamed hysterically and ran downstairs my parents could not calm me down so I had to go and stay with my grandparents until I had the confidence to come home it took about a month we lived in that house for a further 5 years until we moved to Basingstoke 20 miles away I now live in Cambridge and since that night I have never seen or heard anything like that
