Singing Spirits
From a Visitor in Virginia:
One night, in the middle of the night, I awoke from a bad dream or something that made my head all warm. Anyway, I sat on top of my two story be (bunker bed or something) and looked outside my apartment building.
Then, coming from the kitchen, I hear the noises of pans and spoons, almost like someone was putting them in a dishwasher. Then I noticed it was just the garbage truck outside. When I calmed down and planned to go back to sleep, I heard a soft, hushed song. Someone was singing. But who could be singing at 3am? It was a soft voice, and a woman's, coming somewhere from the living room or another room near mine.
My bedroom door is always open, so I heard most strange things at night. The next day, in the afternoon, I heard the same voice again. It seemed to be coming from the air conditioning system-somewhere inside it. (no my neighbors downstairs do not sing, they're a bunch of teenage punk that listen to heavy metal music)
Sometimes I hear the voice, but I only heard it 2 times in the night. Sometimes I hear the lullaby-like song in the daytime, but that's rare.
