My story is absolutely true and just really strange. There is not much to say but I hope my words can truly let you feel just a tiny part of the fear that paralyzed me this very night.
I'm French and live a really peaceful and residential part of Paris, one in which there is particularly no noise at night. One night in July 2004, the town was particularly quiet because of the summer holydays but I was awaken by a loud and very strange noise, never heard before, and never heard again since. The sound was pretty much like a 1 second oscillation around a pretty high note, and it was truly loud (to be precise: not loud - very loud - and not loud again). Then there was something like 20/30 seconds of pure silence then the exact same sound again. I can remember it as clearly as if I was just hearing it again right now. This same pattern repeated again and again for at least 30 minutes, probably 2/3 times per minute, I was just getting me crazy and really started to frighten me. The sound was clearly not static but I was unable to say if it was one single one moving, or many but it looks like these sounds were probably answering one to the other. As I wanted to be sure that mind was not playing tricks on me and that I wasn't getting insane, I woke up my wife (how could she still be sleeping??) and had her hear the noise too and we both waited for it to stop in the middle of the night. After 30 minutes, the pace of the pattern got faster then suddenly, the note changed and got higher of one half of tone for 2/3 times (with a 5/10 sec silence). Then, suddenly, the note faded as if it was getting far very quick. The original sound was very loud and then the next one was half as loud as the one before and seemed to have been very sent from very far. Next sound wasn't heard, and there hasn't been heard ever since.
I just can't explain this and my wife and I are the only witnesses I know of this scene. I have no explanation and my interpretation is that there was something out there searching very closely for something or someone, like some kind of scan. My only question is, have someone heard this kind of thing as well anywhere else in the
world?
