A Ghost Story from a visitor living in California
I live in a house in California that is 104 years old, so it's prone to a lot of odd happenings. I've lived there for at least five years and in that time I have heard things like singing from a distance seeming to come from the walls, light switches are on that were off, doors are open that were closed... these things could all be my premature senility. There have been some
instances that have given me pause, but not like this last year.
I was eating from a box of nilla wafers one night and left the box on the table, laying down flat. I walked thru the kitchen the next morning and propped it upright. When I was taking my shower, I heard a loud banging on the door and then, when I was done with my shower and walked thru the kitchen again, there was a nilla wafer, sitting directly on top of the box. The next morning, after my shower, there was a fresh teacup of milk, still cold, sitting on my kitchen counter.
Last week I was sitting on my couch, chatting on the phone for about ten minutes, when I heard a noise and when I went back to check, it was the bathroom faucet, turned on full blast. And last night I noticed 8 or 9 wet looking spots, yet not wet, two of them seemingly dripping, on my kitchen wall.
I've been trying to logic all of this away, but the last few events are pretty hard to do that to...wed movement and unexpected noise might be!
