From a Visitor in New York

When I was younger my family and I seemed to always be moving to new locations, because of my father's job we were practically in a new place every year. But one house that we lived in stays in my memory even many years later.
The house that I believed to be haunted was in Arizona and we had moved there when I was 17 in 1987. The house itself was a very large 2-story building that was at least 50 years old. It was in a very deserted area and the closest town was about 10 miles away and of course I hated it. We didn't have a lot of background on the house when we first moved in the only thing we did know was that a very old man used to live in it and died of a stroke in the kitchen at the age of 85.
After a couple of months I made a very strange discovery in my bedroom. The room that I chose had a very large hutch in it when we first moved in and I didn't move it since then. But one day I had noticed that by the hutch it was very cold and it was strange because we had no ac and it was a very hot day w/ no breeze. So I moved the hutch and behind it I found a very small door with a lock and the handle on it was very cold. I bent down and opened it and when I did a rush of cold air came rushing out. I looked inside the passage way and there were just stairs leading up. It was very small and narrow and I climbed up them. When I reached the top I realized I must have been in the attic because my father had said sometime before he never knew how to get up into the attic. There was all sorts of children's toys and there was a little child's table with a little tea set that looked liked it hadn't been touched in years there was also a little bed that must have been a small child's. Then I saw the worst thing ever, a noose hanging from the ceiling. The sight of it gave me chills and so I hurried out of there and told my father but when he went up to check the noose was gone and all the toys had been put into boxes, the only thing left out was the bed. That gave me the feeling there was someone else up there. After that we bolted up the little door and moved the hutch back in front of it.
The only other occurrence that scared the crap out of me was one night around 12:00am I was sleeping when all the sudden I felt extreme cold and I could see light from behind the hutch and I heard very soft music playing and almost the sound of a small child's voice coming from behind that door. It was almost like it was pleading me to let it out. I started screaming and it all went all in the blink of an eye. I vowed never again to enter that room.
A few years later after we moved out of the house I did some research on it, I had found out that in 1949 a family consisting of a father, mother and a small daughter had lived in the house. The mother went insane and hung herself in the attic. The father was in much grief of the lose of the mother and blamed the little girl for her mother's death saying that it was her fault her mother went insane. He moved all of the little girl's things into the attic and kept her up there where the little girl eventually starved to death. She was only about 6 years old. The father eventually disappeared without a trace.
