Now we've seen this show several times and find it very
interesting. Not certain if it is true but it remains
interesting.

The premise of this show is interesting but with all that has
taken place on this show during the seasons it has aired one must
ask how Gail Porter can continue to call herself a skeptic.
She's had nearly as many things take place with her as her co-host
Chris Fleming. The other flaw in this show is why it is
automatically assumed that because someone is/was famous they would
haunt any specific place instead of crossing over. Because of
this we don't rate this show very high.

Judging from the first couple of shows of this season Ghost Hunters
will live up to its reputation once again. We have only four real
problems with this show:

They dismiss things
rather quickly when reviewing their 'evidence.' Dismissing
things this quickly is just as bad as saying everything
they see is paranormal. Study it a bit more and show it to
the people who are in authority at the place you are
investigating and let them make up their own minds as to whether
or not it is paranormal or not - such as is it a piece of dust
or not. And by the way guys - dismissing something isn't the
same as debunking it...it is merely your method of not dealing
with it and it isn't very scientific or professional in the
investigative field. In fact it leads to hoax
investigations simply to take a hard line against paranormal
activity. Truth is most of us aren't interested in your
opinions - we make up our own minds without your opinions and to
not show something to the people in authority of the place you
are investigating is bad form simply because it may not match
'your opinion.'

At no time does
T.A.P.S. use a psychic. Frequently the use of a psychic
can help direct them to an area where paranormal activity is
taking place and as a result they may actually get more on film
and/or EVP than they currently do. We aren't talking about
séances here, we're talking about just another tool that
happens to be human.

Recently Ghost
Hunters have stupidly added music to their investigations!
I say stupidly because if there is a noise or sound made during
an investigation, we as the audience will never hear it because
the music over shadows it. It doesn't add to the show - it
doesn't make things scary - it just makes things appear to be
staged and fake! Remove it guys - it detracts.

The fourth thing is
Steve - we are all tired of listening to Steve whine about all
the things he's afraid of...fear of flying, fear of spiders,
fear of his shadow...whatever - for someone who is a cop in his
regular job he should be teased right off the force for all his
fears! Get over it Steve - get some professional help
because you have some serious mental problems. Just our
opinion!!!

We've now rated this show as a rating of 2. Brian
Harnois being on the team didn't please us at first but he seems
to have matured a bit and maybe he will be okay as long as he isn't
in a lead position. We aren't too thrilled with team member Shannon Sylvia.
She is impatient and immature in her investigation techniques.
On one show she actually got into an argument with Donna LaCroix.
Now Donna we know has been at this for a very long time both as an
investigator and case manager - Shannon we don't know from Adam and
judging from her performance we believe she is far too egotistical
to be doing this type of work. Trouble is the lead
investigator, Robb Demarest, talked with Shannon after the incident
and then suggested the matter had been resolved when in fact he
didn't even touch on the problem of Shannon's immaturity and
impatience as well as her disrespect for Donna. We suggest you
send Shannon back to the U.S. and let her cool her heels and grow up
back on her own turf! Beyond that Robb seems to have a very
calm, professional in his approach to ghostly investigations.
We are very happy to see that he doesn't just dismiss things because
someone says "I think it is..." (Steve's favorite way of
disposing of things on Ghost Hunters and then saying "We
debunked that..." not hardly boyo - you simply dismissed it you
didn't debunk it!)

Keeping in mind that
this show is presented as entertainment and entertainment only - it
does, to its credit, bring out many things about the world of the
paranormal. It is loosely based on an individual who actually
is psychic and helps souls cross over. Very entertaining -
check your local listings.

We've seen this show only a couple of times but find the
straight forward reporting of unusual events taking place in another
person's life very interesting. There are re-enactments - but
there is no pretense of trying to make these events overtly scary -
instead they are merely presenting the facts as told by the
individuals the events happened to. Entertaining.

Check your local listing for this one! Problem now is the
Discovery Channel continues to show us the same story lines over
and over again until we could repeat the dialogue without a
script! I guess, as far as the Discovery Channel is
concerned there are only about eight to ten places that are
haunted any place in this world. We would be happy to see
some NEW material from them if at all possible. Entertaining enough - but the only objection we have is that the
show tries too hard to be scary and as a result makes some things
look rather hooky.

John is back giving his readings to an open audience and on
occasion to some celebrity in a private session. Though John
does basically the same thing as Lisa Williams we find the setting
for his show more difficult to watch because there are far too many
distractions to be caught up in.

show has not been picked up for the third season! Sadly!
Lisa is, a British transplant, a bit quirky but lovable and very
entertaining. She surprises people with her abilities each and
every time she meets someone and does a reading for them. If
you like watching others meet up with loved ones that have crossed
over she's the one to watch. She also has done cleansing of
homes that hold unwanted spirits and she's even done a psychic
healing or two on her show. Lisa is clearly a spiritual being
- yet not preachy or overly religious.

new shows. We look forward to watching this very entertaining

Most Haunted

We don't have a rating
below 3 but we should just for this show. These people either
stage every haunting experience or they are the luckiest group of
'ghost hunters' in the world. No matter where they go they
always get something - some reaction to their questions or something
else. Of course the reported "knocks" they get we
can't hear and the individuals being touched can't be shown or
proven but they always manage to get something to report! Now
you know why we say this show is pure and simple
entertainment!!! Having done investigations for well over 25
years I can promise you this - you don't get something at every
location even if that location is reportedly haunted. These
idiots seem to psych them selves out more than anything - and once
they are convinced that something is around them they freak and
freak big time. Yvette - needs to shut up! Carl needs to
stop trying to tell us that he felt someone touch him and Stuart
needs to find another job! That's our opinion - don't waste
your time watching this piece of garbage.

We've now experienced the Paranormal State and find it to be
somewhat boring. Truth is to introduce the concept of demons
and the promotion of the Catholic church is what turned us
off. In short, too much religious dogma seems to rule this
program. If that's your thing you'll love this show...however
it doesn't happen to be the taste for us here at Eeeek! Keep
the religion out of the investigations and we'd be fine. Just
because you have a ghost and it happens to be one that you believe
is "evil" or very negative doesn't mean you have a 'demon'
or that you need the Catholic church to become involved to eliminate
this negative energy. Sorry guys but we rate you in the lowest
scales because of this.

unsolved. When they do policing departments throughout the
United States are beginning to open their mind to the use of
psychics to help revive a cold case - frequently it is through the
psychics information that detectives are able to solve the
crime. Analytical but entertaining and informative.

Holly Hunter (Grace) is a crusty, blunt delight in this show and
is "haunted" by an angel named Earl. Earl is much
like Grace in personality - blunt, crusty and somewhat
cynical. We find this program to be very entertaining and if
you've not watched it - give it a try!

A new program brought to
us by the History Channel. Four men go searching for proof of
UFOs and/or alien abductions. Though this show does not begin
until January 30, 2008 the clip on the History Channel's website
looks promising. Hopefully they will keep their search
scientific rather than making assumptions based on evidence they
don't understand.
