Why do ghost come to our homes and what for?

Here is a question I have been asked many, many times. The answer can have multiply responses.
First, the ghost could be someone from your family who has crossed-over and is trying to give you a message. Most often that message is something simple like they are all right. Or it could be to let someone know that all is forgiven, that is if someone had a problem with person just before they crossed-over. If the ghost is not related to anyone in the home - then perhaps it is because they have some tie to the home prior to people moving in.

Many people make the mistake of believing that because someone died in a home they will automatically haunt that home, not true. Just because someone dies in a home, or is murdered or commits suicide does not automatically mean they will haunt. What actually causes a spirit to remain tied to the physical plane is not certain. Many have speculated that a spirit stays behind because of unfinished business. Or because of the manner in which they died. Or because they don't realize they are dead. What the truth is no one really knows. Perhaps some of the ghostly spirits simply cross-over to the physical plane from the spiritual plane to visit. There is no set answer to this question.

Many researchers believe that what we call ghosts is not truly a spirit but an electro-magnetic impression or residue of an event that once took place in the location. And that residue plays out before us as a result of stored energy in the items and materials in the room releasing that energy.

Clearly there is just too little we know about this realm of our existence. The scientific community refuses to even look at this phenomenon. They refuse to even speculate, but simply dismiss it as mass hallucinations or someone's imagination. Not a terribly scientific approach - but the reason is quite simple - they are unable to prove anything with regards to this realm. As a result they refuse to approach the subject for study because they understand they will fail in establishing any proof in the area. Science is willing to speculate that they understand the workings of space, making statements regarding black holes, distances to various planets and/or galaxies - without the ability to show hard facts to support their speculation but they are unable and unwilling to even speculate on the existence of the esoteric body. Those who approach this subject as an investigator, with an open mind, without drawing conclusions prior to investigating, is the only link we have to any scientific explanation for reported haunting events.

Some things we must take on faith. Like the belief in God or a Supreme Being, we must accept certain things as fact without evidence of proof. When asked if ghosts are real or not I say the same thing I say when asked if God exists: The hidden beauty within a bud proves there is a God. The thousands and thousands of sightings of ghostly spirits proves there is far more going on in our world than what we understand or comprehend. Since the beginning of recorded history and even before, people have reported seeing spirits and communicating with them...and this communication is for different reasons. The only conclusion we can come to is the most common reason we have been given by those who have experienced visitations by spirits is they are coming here to give a message to us or to ask us to complete a task they wanted to achieve prior to their crossing over. Each case is different and each case must be investigated on its own merits.
