"My question has been getting me much ridicule as of late. I know that in the house I am renting, many strange things are happening. A friend I have who is very knowledgeable about paranormal activities having lived in a haunted house all his life. Now I've recently rented and furnished a home. Everything was fine for the first couple days, and then when I would sleep I would wake up all of a sudden feeling very, very scared. And cold regardless of how many blankets I have on. When I told my friend of this he told me that if I calmly, without fear or demand ask for these actions to stop then they will. I did this and it doesn't happen as often now which I can live with. But now whatever this energy is it is wrecking my home. I've come home to upside down furniture, my fridge open with everything on the floor, drawers pulled clean out of the dressers or counters, paint that I have in my basement sprayed and splashed about the walls and carpet, among other things. Most stuff was occurring in my kitchen so I set up a small camera. I came home to find the camera in the sink submerged in somehow hot water. I had to use a spoon to get it out and the camera itself was ruined but the tape was ok. The tape revealed my fridge door opening by itself and everything in it being pulled out and thrown on the floor. That was on 6-20-03 and other things have happened in the days since, but everyone except my friend thinks I'm absolutely crazy or on drugs or something when I tell them about these occurrences. Please help! I haven't enough money to move elsewhere. My email doesn't work for some reason. I can never pull it up, so I hope you can help me on the ask Eeeek Q/A page.

Hi C,

I'm sorry you are experiencing such a traumatic set of events in your home. However, your friend is correct, you can tell the entity to stop and it will. But you must be firm in your request. This means, not yell, but firm and demanding. You talk to it as if you were talking to a child, telling the child to stop acting up or misbehaving. You don't yell, but you must be very firm. You have to understand that this realm, the physical, is your realm. You have the ultimate control here and you must believe this and know it is true. Keeping in mind that the spiritual being is invading your realm, even if this being lived in the house prior to you, it does not belong in this realm any longer.

Clearly this entity wishes to communicate with you. So give it something that allows it that ability. Get yourself a white board, for example, and let it write on it. If this entity has the capability of pulling things out of your refrigerator, opening doors, and throwing a camera in the sink, it has the capability to write to a white board or blackboard.

You might also point out to this entity that its activity of destruction is also destroying its living space as well as yours. Tell it that it would be better for it and you if it simply communicated with you in a normal manner, through writing on a white board, than being so destructive. But don't be surprised if the entity demands that you leave the house. If this happens tell it that you can't do that, not at this time, because you are unable to withdraw due to finances. Tell it you can only see one way to achieve peace in the house and that is agree to share the home but to respect each other's privacy and right to passage. Explain to the entity that is has crossed over to the other side and it truly has no need to remain here in the physical world; but if it insists upon doing so, then it needs to be respectful of you and your physical/material items.
