Well I can think of a couple of reasons aliens might show up just now...the first reason is, of course, nuclear weapons. Just prior to, and during wars of the past there has been an increase in UFO sightings...as if those who pilot the UFOs are checking in to see what we are up to. 

When one looks at this world they must admit we are a primitive species. We still go under the misconceived idea that we can alter the world through the use of violence and war. One does not make such changes to the world in this manner - it is only through example and consistent behavior that change takes place. Because it is only through this example that the different people of this world learn to respect and trust. One does not gain respect by killing -- one only kills when killing. I suspect aliens have learned this - and are waiting for us to learn it also...but on the overall our society (the entire world) is pretty stupid when it comes to comprehending a simple principal of life: Let others believe as they will and do as they wish - but know it does not alter the truth of what really is - because the truth remains the truth regardless of what any of us believe.

In short trust your instincts - if your initial thought of a specific location is that it doesn't feel right then chances are it isn't right for you.
