Area 51 was a top secret base in Nevada until Bob Lazar, an engineer who worked there, came forward and told a new reporter on a television news team in Las Vegas what was taking place at Area 51. Lazar reported seeing UFOs in hangars and claimed he was told to help back engineer the abilities of the UFO. That's how so much about area 51 came to be known.
