Do you agree that it is odd that area 51 is such a top secret facility, yet they remain at the location, granted it would be hard to relocate, but given the security it surely would be possible. After all the attention they get and the effort they take to keep it secret, it just seems like it would be better for them, you know?

If I were the powers that be I'd keep Area 51 exactly where it is.  Imagine the setting of this base:  The base lays on a dried up lake bed, Groom Lake and is completely surrounded by mountains.  The closest area one can stand to view the lake bed is approximately 10 miles away.  Additionally the runway is 12 miles long.  Furthermore, satellites that fly over the area fly over on a specific time schedule so anything that is being worked on can be hidden from view prior to the satellite fly-over.  Plus the nearest large city is 90 miles away, Las Vegas, and the city of Rachel, Nevada has an extremely low population.  The area itself is approximately 60 square miles - giving it a large enough area to place buildings for storage and development of the various projects that are worked on.  The only problem with the area is the problem that Clinton allowed to become a reality for them - no responsibility for any environmental damage they may cause.  Let them develop whatever it is they wish - who cares - but at least make them responsible for environmental endangerment.

Hope this answers your questions!
