Is the Bermuda triangle real? Why is it there and how big is it? How does it disappear?

The Bermuda Triangle (also called The Devil's Triangle) is an area that covers a triangle shape that goes from the islands of Bermuda to the tip of Florida to Puerto Rico -

Many planes, ships and boats have disappeared in this region. There have been nearly 175 disappearances. No one is certain what causes these ships to disappear. Many have speculated that it is because of sudden weather changes, some say it is alien/UFO related, and some say it is the result of hydrogen released from the bottom of the ocean. Whatever the reason these things do happen. Many times planes have reported their compasses going nuts - instead of point the direction they are flying it simply spins around. This makes some speculate that it is related to a magnetic changes in the region.

It doesn't disappear it is always there.  It merely requires certain conditions to be met to be active and cause the problems it does.  Why and what causes this?  That is the mystery!
