RESPONSE:
Proof is a funny word - People request proof of
something but the question one must ask is: Is there
proof of anything in this world to be absolutely
true? What if all our science is based upon an
unreliable or unsound foundation? What if all
physics is based upon speculation and assumption only
because of consistency but not because something can be
proven absolutely?
Nothing
in this world can be proven beyond any doubt. I know
science believes it can fulfill this obligation but as
long as there is one single deviation from the 'norm' the
hypothesis can only be assumed to be correct but not
proven to be true.
This having been said, I believe there is enough circumstantial
evidence to support the belief that Alcatraz is haunted.
A true scientist, in my opinion, bases their belief in
truth by the continuous evidence indicating what the facts
of a situation are. Those who do so are the real
skeptics - those who discount things are not skeptics
(though many like to call themselves that) they are simply
non-believers.
Hope this answers your question! Thanks for
writing Eeeek!
